Various International Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) workshops concerning ENUM conducted in Europe, Asia and North America.

ITU-T publishes interim procedures in conjunction with the Internet Architecture Board (IAB) and the Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination Centre (RIPE NCC).

The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) publishes its technical specifications for “ENUM Administration in Europe.”

The ETSI publishes its technical specifications for "Minimum Requirements for Interoperability of European ENUM Trials."

The IETF issues a new ENUM revision.

Open registration of ENUM services through the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA).

ITU-T issues final procedures for the ENUM domain.

ETSI hosts ENUM Workshop and Plugtest.

IETF publishes RFC 3761, which remains the ENUM standard today. It encompasses Enumservices registration, commercial private ENUM services and public ENUM (E.164.arpa).

Asia Pacific ENUM Engineering Team (APEET) coordinates ENUM/SIP live trial in Kyoto (APRICOT conference).

U.S. Public User ENUM trial formation announced.
